The total area was divided by a fixed concrete wall. What initially appeared to be a major obstacle was quickly transformed into what is now an iconic feature of the Implement office – a raw concrete wall stripped of its old plaster, stylishly separating the two office areas. On one side, a classic layout with workstations and meeting rooms was created. On the other side, a completely open, flexible space was created that offers a wide range of possible uses: customer events, company events, Friday bars, workshops, co-creation sessions, coffee meetings, movie nights or simply a good conversation in the lounge.
The trick was to design such an open, multi-purpose space in such a way that it would also be used by employees in their everyday office life and not simply stand empty.
See for yourself in the photos below how we did it and read what project participants and office users have to say about the project and the additional floor.
